Rich Dougherty, President and CEO, Expert Choice, Inc.
Rich brings more than 16 years of business management, consulting and facilitation experience to Expert Choice (EC). In addition to his responsibilities as CEO, Rich is an expert in the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) methodology and decision making. He has facilitated meetings with numerous senior executives in commercial and government environments to apply the AHP to their project portfolio, capital asset, risk, and vendor selection challenges. His recent engagements include Exxon, Sprint, and America Online, as well as U.S. government agencies such as NASA, FAA and the Navy.
Prior to joining Expert Choice, Rich served as VP of Business Development for FastTide, an Internet content management software firm. Prior to joining FastTide, Rich held several positions at Dell Computer Corporation. As a Product Marketing Manager, he managed the development and launch of the world’s best-selling workstation. He then transitioned to Dell Computer’s $2B Medium-sized business sales division where he ran the Workstation, Server and Storage lines of business. Before joining Dell, Rich was a Consultant for PRC EMI, Inc., leading software development efforts for various Federal organizations including the Department of Defense and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Rich earned a B.A. from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
Ernest Forman, D.Sc., Founder and Chairman
An experienced software developer and consultant on the use of the Analytic Hierarchy Process, Dr. Ernest Forman is a professor of management science at The George Washington School of Business. He earned a master of management science degree from Johns Hopkins University and a doctor of science in operations research from The George Washington University. He has worked with MITRE Corporation and has served as an advisor to NASA, U.S. Intelligence Agencies, General Motors, Exxon, and Sandoz. His AHP consulting has focused on applications such as resource allocation, benefits-cost analysis, group decision-making and strategic planning.
